There are sites that do dynamic dns. I will also tell you that static for a web server is the better choice.
Providers do not like to use static. It's a money thing. If I am a provider and have a block of say 16 IP address I can either do it static or dynamic. I'm the provider, they are my IPs, it's my choice. If I do static then I can have a base of 16 users and I'm done. If I do dynamic I can do a base of say 18 users and gamble that not all my users will be one line at the same time. I can over sell my product. They do it ALL THE TIME. _________________ Paul Jirinec

Thanks man for the info. I will look into DNS more sometime. Tomorrow I have a big ride planned. Have to get all the rides that I can before the snow season comes. I don't know if someone from here have seen my post and has been trying to access my site multiple times. The ip address starts with a 66 and I believe thats the east coast. You can't post anything on my site as a GUEST unless you do it on the Visitors Area, you need to log on. Just ask and you shall receive. |

Thanks for the tid bit pjirinec. I've updated my server with a registered domain http://www.greenknights7.com Incidentally, I tried to create an account here but the verification code wouldn't show on the screen. I also emailed the webmaster but didn't get a response back. Just an FYI. |
