Delaware Water Gap......Delaware Water Gap
Preview: Sometimes it is difficult to believe that the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is actually a part of New Jersey. The rich mountain landscapes; the cool, crisp air; the thick forests; and the abundant wildlife make the Delaware Water Gap seem far removed from New Jersey's urban bustle and congested suburbs. Incredibly, most of northern and central New Jersey's largest towns and cities, from Paterson to New Brunswick, are little more than an hour's drive from the Delaware Water Gap. Along with southern New Jersey's Pine Barrens, the Water Gap is a treasure trove of unspoiled natural beauty. And, like the Pine Barrens, it's a great place to cycle. Things to see: Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Delaware River, Walpack Wildlife Management Area.
