Agreed. I am willing to put something together in my spare time. I do have a few reservations. Will hosting fees will be refunded? I sent a broadcast msg out with several possible hosting services. I have heard from Mr Freed but nobody else spoke up. Is there a clear indication that this is what the club wants or is some other hosting solution a possibility? Again, I'm willing to put something together (please keep in mind I'm no web programmer) but do not want to create friction within the club over it. I like riding with this club too much. _________________ Paul Jirinec

Ran into a snag. Apparently "mcguireknights.org" is still being held by Namesecure LLC. The name registration expired on 9/21/08. Namesecure is going to hold the name for what amounts to another 75-80 days as a "cooling off" period. Basically if one wishes to revive an expired name it costs more money so they are holding the name in hopes we will fork over extra $$.
I currently have two thoughts. We could open a new site (domain name) and tell Namesecure to take a flying leap. We could also wait what amounts to 3 months and get our name back.
One other thought is that if we start with a new name we could, after the cooling off period, go back and grab mcguireknights.org and point that to the location of the site with a new name.
My personal thought is to start a new name and then, after three months go back and grab mcguireknights.org if for no other reason other then principle.
I am looking for some guidance on what the CLUB wants and not what some retired geezer in Marlton wants.
I love DNS. It's all smoke and mirrors and very few IT people understand it.
